Agricultural Marketing Loan Fund
The program provides lower-cost financing to help eligible agricultural businesses employ new and innovative technologies and processes in order to improve, expand and enhance the manufacturing, marketability and production of Agricultural products. Funds may be used for the design, construction or improvement of facilities such as commodity storage buildings, and packing and marketing facilities. Use: Any maine farmer, maine food processor and maine aquaculture farmers are eligible to apply.
Amount: 250,000
Exposure: The program funds up to 90% of the project under $100,000 and up to 75% of projects over $100,000
Interest Rate: 5% fixed for the life of the loan
Collateral: Usually require 1:1 collateral
Term: various depending on loan
